HAMPSTEAD SCHOOL BOARD RENEWS SUPERINTENDENT’S CONTRACT
Seeing the end to Superintendent Bob Thompson’s employment contract approaching, the
Hampstead School Board worked quickly to secure Mr. Thompson’s Superintendency for an
extended term with the District. Previous to the conclusion of the last school year, the Board, in
non-public session authorized Chairman David Smith to enter into negotiations with the
Superintendent for a second multi-year contract. Negotiations settled late last week, prompting
a non-public session held yesterday evening at the Middle School for presentation to the entire
Board. As a result, a four-year contract between Bob Thompson and the Hampstead School
District will take effect on July 1, 2024, the following day after the current one expires.
