
The boys soccer team finished their season with a win in the championship game against auburn 4-0. Cam, Matteo, Quinn and Finn scored for the Hawks. Jamo notched a shutout in goal. These boys are champions. Awesome season guys!



Ms. Denisky's flex group collected and identified leaves and trees they found at HMS. They created leaf rubbings and made an informational board in the hallway which included why trees change color in the fall and information about the 3 main trees found at HMS.



The girls soccer team heads to Litchfield today in a rematch of last year's Championship Game. Top ranked Litchfield is 12-0 and our Hawks enter the game at 11-1 on the season. Game starts at 3:30 @ Darrah Pond Park in Litchfield. Good luck and go Hawks!


Girls soccer beat Chester 2-1 in their semifinal game. We took the lead early in the 2nd half then Chester tied the game on a penalty kick. We broke the tie and scored the game winner in the final minute of play. Today is the Championship Game. Go Hawks!


Boys soccer defeated Lichfield 2-1 in the semi final game. Cam S. scored both goals for the Hawks. Jamo C. played a great game in goal. Quinn B. and Drew B. were strong on defense. The Hawks will face Auburn in the championship game on Monday. Go Hawks!

Field hockey ended with a score of 4 - 0, but the hawks held their heads high, as this was a major improvement from their regular season battle. Your coaches are so proud of each and every one of you! Congrats on a great season!


Field hockey ended yesterday in the semi-finals after a tough battle against the #1 seed, undefeated Bow. They are known for scoring many goals, and the Hawks held them off 1-0 until well into the 3rd 1/4!


October fun in Third Grade Science: Students practiced making predictions and recording results while investigating what would happen to a piece of candy corn when it was submerged in hot water, soda, and vinegar.




The boys soccer team beat Derryfield 7-0 during the quarterfinal on Tuesday. Cam had a hat trick. Bryce, Jamo, Quinn and Chase added goals for the Hawks. Great goaltending by Jamo and Ben. The semifinal is on Thursday - at home - vs Litchfield.

Field Hockey beat Merrimack Valley 2-1 and will move on to the semifinals on Wednesday! Amazing game played by ALL players! Shout out to Emma W and Ella W for the game winning goals! Emily S had some key saves in net! The hawks played their hearts out! Nice work!!!


Girls soccer won yesterday in their 1/4 final game against Sanborn MS. The win puts them into the Semis here at HMS on 10/25 @ 3:30 vs. Chester. This will be their3rd meeting against them this season with both teams earning a win against each other. Come show your support!


A huge congratulations to the girls cross country team- they are the new STATE CHAMPIONS! Despite the pouring rain / muddy conditions on Saturday, they pulled through with a win! This team consisted of Lola H, Naomi E, Maya M, Emily D, and Anna A. Great job girls!


HCS preschool students have been exploring the symbols of autumn. They have been learning about apples and pumpkins. They learned about different types of apples, how apples grow, and even how to make applesauce! Students also learned about pumpkins, how they are used, and how they grow. The preschoolers loved learning about these quintessential New England fall symbols.









Red Ribbon Week starts this week which means we have a spirit week! On Monday...Team Up Against Drugs and wear your favorite team jersey. Show your spirit!

During last week and this week, HCS students learned about Fire Safety. Through developmentally appropriate lessons and activities, students were introduced to the basics of fire safety and the role of firefighters as community helpers. Students in grades K-2 had the opportunity to meet our Hampstead firefighters and learn from them firsthand. Thank you to Mrs. Crisa for organizing this opportunity and a big thank you to Captain Dane and the Hampstead Fire Department for coming to visit us!






Monday's field hockey game continued: A great goal by Ella W. and a special shout out to our 8th grader Kayla O. who played her last official home game as a Hampstead Hawk! You will be missed!
