Our 8th-grade scientists, under the leadership of their teacher Emma Murzic, recently completed an incredible project inspired by the work of Jill Pelto, a renowned artist who combines art and science to communicate environmental change. 🌎 🖌️ Students created their own data-driven art pieces, blending information from charts and background reaading into graphs then layered their artistic creativity to illustrate the impacts of climate change, biodiversity loss, changes in sea level, temperature rising and more. 📊+🎨=💡 Their projects beautifully showcase how art can make complex scientific ideas more accessible and inspire action. 🌎 🙌 These amazing creations are now available to view at the Gallery in the Large Meeting room of the Hampstead Public Library—stop by and check them out! 🖼️✨ #ScienceAndArt #JillPeltoInspiration #ClimateAwareness
